Hungary is becoming an increasingly popular study abroad destination. Hungarian higher education has much to commend itself, among other things, its very strong tradition in the sciences. Duration of Programs
A bachelor’s program is generally a three-year-long (six semesters) study program leading to a Bachelor’s degree. In some cases the program lasts 7 semesters, including a one-semester-long mandatory internship. Students with a fully completed secondary education can apply for this program. Whereas Masters are of 2 years duration with some exceptions. Few Colleges/ Universities are offering even One year Masters.
Tuition fees in Hungary
Compared to the rest of Western Europe, tuition fees in Hungary are very affordable. Tuition fees vary depending on school and program. Often medicine and dentistry are among the more expensive options with tuition fees around €20,000 while other less specialized programs can be as low as €6,000.
In addition to paying tuition fees, students at Hungarian universities are also required to pay an application fee, exam fee and registration fee, each between €100 and €150.
